ㅤㅤㅤ ( 1993 ) : Fifteen-year-old Altagracia Sánchez—one of the last surviving Hythians—is captured by the Mordain family and transported to one of their containment facilities in the remote Russian Far North. Through his manipulation of the family’s higher-ups, Isaac Mordain is appointed as her handler.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( 1996 ) : Three years later, Altagracia is with child; the baby is none other than Isaac's. At just eighteen years old, she gives birth alone in her cell.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( 1997—8 ) : With the aid of Casimir, one of Milan Mordain's sons, Altagracia manages to escape the facility and make her way into Western Europe. There, leveraging a network of contacts, she secures passage by stowing away on a cargo ship bound for the States. She lands in California with a newborn in tow, and adopts the name Mercedes Jiménez. Her daughter, she names Yamaris Isabel Jiménez.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( 1998—2004 ) : Yamaris grows up in a lower-class neighborhood of San Francisco with her mother, who (reluctantly) engages in illicit activities to make ends meet. Despite their challenging circumstances, Yamaris enjoys a relatively happy childhood.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( OCT. 2004 ) : When Yamaris is eight years old, the Mordain family discovers Mercedes' whereabouts. Yamaris bears witness to Mercedes' brutal murder and is taken into custody, treturned to the same facility in Krasnoyarsk Krai where her mother had once been imprisoned.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( 2004—2014 ) : After Yamaris fails to win the favor of Milan Mordain, Isaac relinquishes her to a group of Russian researchers affiliated with his family. This marks the beginning of her role as the linchpin in PROJECT SUPERNOVA, an experiment aimed at reviving the Ixethi race. Over the years, Yamaris endures brutal procedures and unknowingly is fed the remains of the failed experiments who preceded her. During this time, the facility also creates Yamil, her clone, to serve as an alternative if Yamaris fails the trials.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( JAN. 2015 ) : PROJECT SUPERNOVA reaches its peak as Yamaris endures a grueling forty-five day period of treatments designed to fundamentally alter her genetic structure. Scientists attempt to merge her Hythian heritage with modified DNA sequences from SPECIMEN OMEGA (Li'tau), whose awakened consciousness brings a flood of intense emotions, including rage and bloodlust. Yamaris struggles with her identity, torn between her humanity and the alien essence of SPECIMEN OMEGA, while the Ixethi's consciousness threatens to engulf her, pushing her toward madness. As she fights to maintain her sense of self, her body undergoes a grotesque transformation, battling SPECIMEN OMEGA's instinctual drive to dominate her, but ultimately, she fails to resist its influence. Unlike earlier subjects, though, Yamaris survives these trials—solidifying her status as the "successful" Ixethi prototype.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( MARCH 2015 ) : Yamaris, grapping with lingering effects of Li'tau's presence, becomes increasingly erratic. She lashes out at the faculty and stubbornly refuses to cooperate, unlike in her earlier years. In a bid to curb her insubordination, Isaac makes the cruel decision to have Yamil—who she has come to see as her other half—executed before her eyes. It had the exact opposite effect. This was the last straw.
ㅤㅤㅤ ( 15 MARCH 2015 ) : What exactly happened that night remains unknown. Reports describe a massacre, with no clear evidence of what transpired during the final stages of PROJECT SUPERNOVA, only the mutilated bodies of scientists. Once pristine corridors and laboratories were now strewn with debris and bloodstains, equipment shattered and overturned. Despite exhaustive searches, no trace of Yamaris–or "SPECIMEN ALPHA," as she was known in the facility's records–could be found. Documents retrieved from the scene provided cryptic insights into PROJECT SUPERNOVA and its experiments, but yielded few answers, as key personnel were either deceased or missing. They couldn't recount the horrors within the facility or provide any leads on Yamaris' whereabouts. She had simply vanished and SPECIMEN OMEGA with her. Similarly, where SPECIMEN BETA (Yamil) had gone—or if he was even alive—remains a mystery.
