Appearance.
Kim is an adult dick-girl of average height as she was estimated to be 5' 4" with a slim yet athletic build. Shi has large green eyes and long red/orange hair which comes down to hir shoulders, and when seen from behind is in the likeness of a heart. Shi wore hir hair in pigtails and had freckles when shi was in pre-K, and as a preteen, wore it in one long ponytail and had braces on hir teeth. Shi has slender fingers and wears size seven shoes. As a tween, shi wears a purple long-sleeved shirt with darker purple thigh-length shorts and matching sneakers with white soles, and a black necklace with a bright yellow jewel in the center.
As an adult shi wears various outfits and hir iconic mission outfit which consisted of a black midriff-baring mock turtleneck, dark gloves with a thin cuff, green cargo pants, a utility belt, and black shoes. Midway during her Senior year, it is replaced with a purple shirt, black pants with a purple line on the sides, grey shoes, and tight grey gloves as hir previous gear is discontinued at Club Banana and Smarty Mart. After a few years with hir second mission outfit did shi 'retire' it in favor of five different Mk V Tac Suits (Advanced, experimental Stealth Suit and yes taken from Splinter Cell), one being hir most commonly worn and then four variations pending the geographical location shi heads to for hir missions
AU Background.
Kim was the first born child of James and Ann Possible, upon hir birth shi was first mistaken as being a boy, despite a prior ultrasound screening and the ultrasound technician giving a 90% guarantee shi was a girl, which confused hir parents at first but some genetic tests later it was discovered that shi was indeed a girl but shi was born with the extremely rare chromosome mutation that made hir develop male reproductive genitalia instead of female reproductive organ/genitalia. Meaning shi had a cock and testicles in place of a vagina and uterus. What made this mutation extremely rare was that shi would grow and fully develop as a female, feminine physique, natural female breasts, female voice, bone structure/density, while simultaneously hir male genitalia would fully mature and develop to be fully functional and fertile. (Meaning shi like males can get erections, ejaculate sperm and can impregnate females).
This information while a shocker to hir parents they fully embraced that their daughter who they named Kimberly Ann Possible, was a dick-girl, shemale, etc. And would do all they could to be as supportive, loving and caring as they could be as parents. A few years after hir birth did shi become the elder sibling to twin brothers named Jim & Tim Possible, their birth was as normal a birth as could be at least superficially, meaning they for all intents and purposes were born full natural males, but when puberty came did the superficiality of there male birth come to light, when they went through puberty they did not gain masculine traits, grow in height, or have significant genital development meaning that Jim and Tim had more feminine features, height and their genital development made them smaller than an average grown male basically meaning they were Femboy's in appearance. Though like with Kim hirself, shi and their parents accepted how Jim and Tim had turned out after puberty and would be supportive of them
After graduation from Highschool Kim chose not to go to University at all, instead choosing to make use of the numerous "favors" shi had acquired over the course of hir school years working as a freelance heroine (and sanctioned legal vigilante). Shi used these favors to get military spec-ops training (S.E.A.L.S, Green Berete, etc) to improve hir already impressive repertoire of skills and further hir capabilities as a heroine vigilante (before hir decision to semi-retire from it to pursue other things). Among other things shi used hir acquired favors for were to get both civilian and military aeronautical training to obtain hir pilots license for both civilian and military aircraft, along with going through firearms training to obtain hir permits to legally own firearms, conceal carry and open carry permits. Though due to hir strong heroic, lawful-good, non-lethal nature the primary firearm shi chooses to utilize is a Beretta M-9 9mm sidearm that was heavily modified and converted into a non-lethal tranquilizer gun.. Shi does utilize other firearms that accommodate non-lethal means (I.E Shotguns utilizing Riot Suppression Bean Bags or other weapons that have non-lethal type ammunition such as rubber bullets). Shi does and will however utilize firearms lethal ammo or explosives in hir freelance heroine work should shi need to sabotage/destroy vehicles, devices, or machines that shi cannot stop/deactivate or prevent their activation otherwise. And while shi would consciously choose never use lethal means on another, shi will ultimately do so as the very absolute last resort when there is absolutely undisputedly no other possible choice. (A choice shi has not had to ever employ in part to the relative sanity of hir villains)
Also at a later date shi, through the help of a more scientifically minded/talented version of hirself, had gotten hirself a permanent genetic modification to hir DNA that shi was able to apply to hirself via a one time use injection. This modification to hir genetics made it possible for hir to interbreed with other species, while still being able to reproduce with humans. In other words shi is able to now impregnant other species and father hybrid species. Though as it currently stands the results of these cross-breed hybrids are unknown (I.E will they as an example turn out like Centaurs, Minotaur's, Satyrs' of mythology or will they they retrain the form of their mother species but have the ability to learn and develop human levels of intelligence and be able to speak human languages. It is also unknown if these hybrids will be fertile or sterile and if they too will be able to interbreed with other species and humans or how these second generation hybrids will turn out)
"Well this is lame, this Marstruck as seen here has a built in solar panel on the roof, so you'd think it would be slowly recharging the Marstruck's battery during the daytime, which as you can see from when this was taken it currently is, but it appears that solar panel is a dud as there isn't any indication any charging is taking place. Unless the battery, which is completely dead when the truck is built, needs to be charged up first before the solar panel can do the slow recharge."
"Well this is problematic, that abandoned tablet there is in a section of a structure that the devs of Occupy Mars have made completely inaccessible, so I can't grab that abandoned tablet which I need because the dev's had made the gameplay mechanic decision to lock certain tech behind blueprints, which force you to explore Mars and find abandoned structures from past colonization attempts to find these abandoned tablets which give you a random 'blueprint' to further access Tech Tree options. An example while you can find a working ATV Quad randomly, you can find a tablet that gives you the blueprint necessary to unlock the ability to build an ATV Quad yourself along with unlocking upgrades that can be crafted for the ATV."
"Gah dammit, so started playing Palworld and so use to other games where Q is assigned to something and I press it out of that habit and waste Palsphere's because they are tied to Q to throw >< and I actually find that annoying that you throw one at nothing and it disappears, like it wasn't "activated" so technically speaking it should be recoverable but no gone forever >< like dammit wasted 4 of them already this way."
"So this is a neat 'survival' game where unlike most survival games is just to more or less survive for as long as possible, usually with a goal of unlocking the highest level of craftable stuff and usually no real end goal just survive. This one however as its name implies is more than just survive as long as possible, everything you do is not just to survive but to actually terraform a barren planet into a hospitable one. And for those that like a sort of challenge (beyond the normal difficulty induced challenge) this one involves a more I'd say realism based challenge at least in terms of inventory space and items. Most survival games let you stack most same type items up to an X amount in one single stack. Planet Crafters however there is no item/resource stacking, every single item takes up one space in your limited and slightly expandable inventory space and the same applies to storage containers, their inventory slots too are limited and can only hold one item each slot so no stacking there either meaning you have to build multiple in order to stock up on things and having a stricter management of what resources you need to craft what you need. "Is it just me or does this song sound like it would fit perfectly in a Resident Evil title."
Wow Ys 'chronological' order timeline is way out of whack with the chronological release of each title. So the order to play the games if you want the "full story" or at least to go through Adol's adventures in the order in which they took place then you'd have to naturally start with
- Ys Origin: Lacks Adol due to being set 700 years prior to Adol even being born but its the chronological start of the series timeline wise.
- Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished: Omen. The very first game and naturally the very beginning of Adol's story or adventures.
- Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished: The Final Chapter: Adol's second adventure which takes place immediately after Ys I
- Ys X: Nordics: The latest release but chronologically takes place roughly a month after the end of Ys II and thus Adol's third adventure.
- Ys IV: Memories of Celceta: Celceta was originally where Adol was heading to after Ys II, but the events that transpired in Nordics delayed his adventure in Celceta and thus this became his fourth adventure.
- Ys III: Oath in Felghana: Adol's fifth adventure following the end of Ys IV: Memories of Celceta.
- Ys V: Lost Kefin: Kingdom of Sand: Adol's sixth adventure following the end of Ys III: Oath in Felghana and sadly the one title as of yet not able to be played unless you manage to get ahold of a ROM dump of the game to use in a Super Famicom(Super Nintendo) emulator and apply an English Fan Translation Patch.
- Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana: Adol's seventh adventure following the end of Ys V: Lost Kefin: Kingdom of Sand.
- Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim: Adol's eighth adventure following the end of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana
- Ys SEVEN: Adol's ninth adventure following the end of Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim
- Ys IX: Monstrum Nox: Adol's tenth adventure and while its the chronological ninth release of the installment it is in chronological timeline wise it is his latest adventure.
And the way it is told is that each Ys game is treated as a "replay" of the events that Adol has written down in his travelogues which in Ys lore are a series of books he wrote recording his adventures since the age of 16, of which there are 100 in total. The archaeologists can only restore and replicate the legible parts of his journals that haven't been damaged or lost to time. We may get more Ys entries of Adol's adventures since it is a pretty well liked franchise and if Final Fantasy can get as many releases as it has, Ys can very well follow suit.
"You know I wonder why Nihon Falcom despite having made remakes of some of their past entries of Ys have yet to rerelease or remake one that has only ever had a JP release.
Their Ys titles they have done the remakes to are Ys Oath in Felghana is a remake of Ys III: Wanders of Ys, while Ys: Memories of Celceta is simultaneously a remake and Nihon Falcom's own version and canonical Ys: IV. Since they had originally outsourced Ys IV's development to two different companies which resulted in two versions of Ys IV, Ys IV: Mask of the Sun (Super Famicom) by Tokin House and Ys IV: Dawn of Ys(PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16) by Hudson Soft. Both games tell essentially the same story as its more than likely Nihon Falcom provided the story for Tonkin House and Hudson Soft to use when they were tasked with making Ys: IV.
But as of yet they have yet to do any sort of release or remake of Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand, this one to this day still remains a JP only release title way back for the Super Famicom. I wonder why they haven't revisited this one. All other Ys titles that I am aware of have been released outside of JP, save that one."
"While I do enjoy the Ys series of games, I have to be honest, I didn't like it too much when they decided to start from Ys Seven and having party members join Adol in the field and be controlled by the AI as well as introducing enemy types that had a specific weapon type they were weak again. Meaning having to either let the AI do the work or manually switch to the other party members that did the damage type necessary to more quickly defeat enemies, sure in early titles Adol had to switch between element type weapons or magic to deal increased damage, but I've always found this mechanic annoying after Ys I & II, Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim, Ys: Oath In Falgahna & Ys: Origin where you only had control of Adol or in Ys Origin's case one of the three selectable characters to play through the story from 'their' perspective. I also do not like the whole Flash Move/Flash Guard system they introduced. I mean yes it works similar to other game series with the "perfect guard" or "parry" system with blocking at the correct/last moment to trigger.
I am currently playing through Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and honestly the flash move/flash guard mechanic gets on my nerves as I can't get the timing right due to the variety of monster types and all having different animations along with having multiple attacks, two attacks at least which come with their own animations. Most times I've managed to get them to trigger has been from dumb luck from just attempting to dodge attacks in the first place which is what triggers flash move or from me activating skills as flash guard is triggered by the RB button on Xbox controllers, as you have to press and hold RB to trigger whatever skill you have assigned to A,B,X,Y. Its to me just an annoying mechanic especially against bosses and in Lacrimosa of Dana's case also annoying in the whole "Raid" mechanic.
Raid being a sort of mini-game if you will where you have to return, or well i guess not have to, did say it was optional if I recall, anyways you return to Castaway Village to defend one side from a set number of Waves of enemies, each wave ending with tallying up scores and bonus points awarded at the end of each wave on if you've done a Flash Move, Flash Guard, EXTRA Skill, Eradication (Meaning all monsters in the wave defeated and none fled ) and no damage. Believe there was also scores for how many fortifications/lures remained in tact after each wave. And then at the end of the Raid you get ranked and rewarded based on the rank so if you want the S rank and all the rewards because on first time Raids you do get the rewards for both the rank you achieved but also from the lower ranks, then you need try to get all the bonus points per wave which mind you I fail at because timing for Flash Move and Flash Guard are a pain with multiple monster types but also time it wrong and you take damage which nulls the No Damage bonus.
