Some of these powers no longer apply due to being outed by her kind for lack of better judgement and intelligence. Elders– those who are stronger than her– absorbed some of her power, fully restricting her from certain abilities and defense. She remained semi-immortal, but cannot defend herself better than other loong, nor is she capable of controlling rain.
In spite of this, Xiu sees the huli jing– fox spirits– as a second family. As a loong, she shares abilities like flight and shape-shifting with them, and is considered semi-immortal along with them, but does not possess power over fox fire nor does she have age empowerment. After her ability to shape-shift was taken from her by her long elders, the huli jing retaught her.

Personality
For a creature who’s made to be wise, mysterious, and majestic, Feng Xiu is neither of the three– far from them. She has high confidence, and can display very bold and fierce behavior.
She has the tendency to hold grudges. If she’s unable to settle whatever issue with anyone who’s wronged her, expect the grudge Xiu has to be strong and tight.
She can, at times, come off as bratty or even dimwitted; sometimes she’s able to admit whenever she acts like a huffy child or showing how dumb her ideas can be, but in reality she really does mean well- in some cases. She’s smart enough to fight, defend, and take charge when needed, as well.
Despite her flaws, Feng Xiu proves to be quite unwavering, brave, bold, and brash. However, she’s not all grins, laughs, and confidence.
For many millennia, she’s been baring with her exiled state, but deep inside, she takes the ignorance and sheer cruelty of her elders’ actions to heart. Though she knows it was because of her, the fact that an amount of her powers were taken from her drives her to bitterness over her own kind.

Appearance
Being semi-immortal, her human form retains the physical appearance as a young adult in their twenties. Her body may look petite and slender but she's a natural born fighter who bares multiple scars.
She’ll willingly wear clothes that fit the times, but she can usually be seen wearing a green and white hanfu, or clad in multi-colored armor. Around her neck is an old charm that once belonged to her father before his passing, and wears it to this day. The wooden tag itself is pale colored and carries a small chip on the bottom. On it are the hanzi symbols 决心 ,meaning ‘determination’.
Her dragon form is quite massive; Long and slender with shimmering bright copper orange scales- speckled with faint white coloring- and a long mane that matches her human form hair color ; her eyes are also cyan blue. She seems to loosely resemble “Jiaolong”, an aquatic dragon akin to a reptile. This means one of her parents carried the genes of a Jiaolong. The end of her tail is shaped like a fan, as the tail of female long normally look like.
As a shapeshifter, she can transform into either humanoid or creature, but her favorite is that of a huli jing. Her fur matches closer to the color of her hair, while her eyes never change color upon changing form.

Backstory
Her birth and her childhood may be nothing more than an enigma– a story perhaps that humans have their own versions of, but Yongqi was born in a flight of Long– eastern dragons that have been hiding themselves for many millennia– that would ultimately cast her aside one day. Born to two low class Long, she would only be at a young age when she receives her first chance to fight tigers.
Tigers have been and always will be the mortal enemies of Long. War between them would happen so frequently, and yet, sparks would always fly whenever they clashed. In her first fight, Yongqi demonstrated a prowess similar to tigers, and though praised by her elders at first, it would take a turn as she grew. Her attitude towards others and fighting style would become one of hot-blooded hubris. It would begin to concern the elders over time, and the flight were left to continuously question her behavior and actions. Advice for her to calm herself would constantly fall on deaf ears, and she disregarded her parents stepping in to give their attempt. She would always reply with ‘Why should I tone it down? The tigers are afraid and the humans respect my determination ; I am Yongqi because of them. I don’t see anything wrong with what I do.‘
Unfortunately, those words should have never been uttered one too many times. War between the two species began once again, and as the fight would stretch through multiple days and nights, two dragons would turn up dead– her parents. They had been killed by their daughter’s plan to rush a large streak of ones with the most strength.
The elders were furious by the young adult’s toxic mettle, and to keep from any further deaths from happening, they banished Yongqi, but not before giving her the ultimate punishment of stealing away what makes her strong. She was lost her enhancements, becoming less than a lesser dragon. They took her ability to shape-shift so she would never fit among the humans, causing her to live in shame as a long for as long as she was alive. They sent her on her way without a second thought…
Abashed by this exiled state of her’s, she would fly far and away from her brethren, never to associate with them again out of fear. She would take to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and spend many years down there in isolation.
Her presence down there and rare appearances caused her to be seen as a sort of new mythical creature by the humans. This caught the attention of the huli-jing– fox spirits who hid in plain sight as normal foxes. Several find Yongqi and ask for an audience with her, but were rejected multiple times. One though decided to trick her, and by transforming into a long like her, they were able to get her attention and out of the water completely. They confessed the reason why, and though she wasn’t all too happy being tricked like that, they turn her mindset around to a more positive one by promising to teach her how to shape-shift once more.
Once able to take the shape of a human, she adopted the name Feng Xiu, so she could walk among the mortals– hiding in plain sight but obviously raring to tease whomever has doubts of her skills. Some believe she’s plotting against her own kind while others think she’s better off living alone and content with where she’s at. No one knows, not even her.
