Vagatha, later known inΒ HeavenΒ andΒ HellΒ asΒ Vagyna, and affectionately namedΒ Vaggie, is one of the three deuteragonists (alongsideΒ Angel DustΒ andΒ Serenity) ofΒ Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
She was a Salvadoran fallen winner who served as the strong, level-headed, and practical manager of theΒ Hazbin Hotel. In the past, she was reborn inΒ HeavenΒ following a traumatic life onΒ Earth, where she was drafted in theΒ angel armyΒ as penance for her sins. Following years of trauma from erasing demons, as well as repeated harassment fromΒ AzraelΒ himself, Vaggie refused to serve the archangel and exiled herself from Heaven after the archangel attempted to brainwash her into serving him.
Sent toΒ HellΒ by Azrael on a long-term mission to assassinateΒ Charlie Magne, Vaggie became associated and in love with another common sinner calledΒ Velvette, but the latter betrayed her in pursuit of fame and fortune shortly after being adopted byΒ Vox, leaving Vaggie alone again. Despite her initial mission to end Charlie's life, Vaggie became the best friend, girlfriend, and eventual fiancΓ©e of Charlie, renouncing her duty as an Exorcist and banishing herself from Heaven. Vaggie became the manager of the princess's operation the Hazbin Hotel, protecting the inhabitants from any external threats and protecting Charlie from the assassins who frequently tried to break in. A hot-tempered, but loyal and loving control freak skilled in combat and armed with an arsenal of angelic blades and a fierce temper, she aimed to protect Charlie, the hotel, and its inhabitants by any means and would do the impossible to help her girlfriend succeed in her seemingly unattainable goals.
In "Moving Day", Vaggie is killed whenΒ SatanΒ (on the orders of theΒ Root of Evil) seizes control ofΒ Angel DustΒ and seeks vengeance on the hotel. When Satan attempted to murderΒ Molly, Vaggie protected her when, tragically, Satan/Angel Dust broke off Vaggie's spearhead and used it to fatally stab her in a struggle. In her final moments, cradled in her girlfriend and fiancΓ©e's arms, Vaggie thanked Charlie in her dying words for always believing her.
