Ever since she was a child, Rei 'Vera' Lang, had always wanted to get married, become a housewife, and start a family. Her wish came true when she's in her first year of college. She met a wealthy businessman during a seminar her college held in the Business and Finance building. The age gap between them was about 20 years apart, but age didn't matter as long as their hearts are one. The two of them really hit it off during a small gathering at a restaurant nearby after the seminar. The two of them would sneakily run off intoxicated to a hotel where he stayed not knowing that going to his hotel, would change her life forever.
After an unforgettable night with the businessman, when he proposed shortly after their ordeal, she married him right away--No ceremony, no parties, just her parents, his parents, and his children at the Courthouse.
After marriage and a couple of years of being lovey-dovey with each other and being by each other side, her husband started his distancing. At first, she didn't mind him leaving her alone with his children. She adored them like they were her own despite being unable to conceive. She understood that he was a busy man, and that sometimes, work comes first. It became consistent to where they would argue about him coming home. His reason for working so hard is because he's a provider for his wife and children. If he chooses to stop working, they wouldn't be able to live comfortably; even when their children grew up into teenagers, his schedule at home was the same, and if he does come home, he will shower, eat in silence, and head to bed. there was no more of that spark she felt when they got married. She thought it would be different if she confronted him.
She was wrong.
The next day was a repeat. Her children became like their father; absent, leaving her alone in a quiet home. She would never have guessed that her marriage life would be so empty. So loveless. So...alone.

At 28 years old, she started noticing other men besides her husband.
