An unholy bastardization of life or that's what many on both races of her parentage would lead you to believe. Very few spoke positively of her upon learning her bloodline. Fae, spirits, and others who weren't tied to either of the two were either indifferent, curious of how she even made it to term, or even how she lived to adulthood. To the latter, the fact her mother's most trusted friends to the north used a flesh golem made from the corpses of newborn elves and dwarves was left with her mother to keep the scent off of her escape was hidden from her. The spirit master cast a long forgotten and forbidden spell to keep the half-breed safe and hidden. The cost of the spell was nearly fatal even with the aid of her spirit beasts.  The backlash left the elf and all of her spirit beasts near death's door once it was broken, but she succeeded in smuggling the infant half-breed to the north, far from elves, far from dwarves.  The name Aqua Aura Aragi is the name her birth mother chose as her cover name until until she and her friend were agreed she was old enough able to travel on her own far from them.  It was also the name of the first human friend her mother made. Her true name Rorona Kamui Fel, a name both her mother and father chose to hide her dwarf blood and even demanded she take her mother's last name so she can live freely and not worry about the issues that come with her mixed blood when he saw her. His reasoning is, there were no visible hints of dwarf blood in her appearance and to keep her from being picked on by at least the elves and it was easier to keep her from dwarves than elves. Rorona grew up hidden from both Elf and Dwarf kind.

Little Roro must be crying out there, don't worry. Dad will protect you, I will see no one comes after you. Guess humans rubbed off on me more than I thought, but this feeling isn't that bad... Dad'll watch over you from the great forge. Who am I kidding? I'll be thrown into the deepest mines for destroying so many items I've made alone, but it'll be worth it.

Her birth mother's confidants, her adoptive parents made sure to tell her every chance they got about her, but also lied to Rorona. They knew the truth, her father died that night and her mother later on, a sacrifice they made with great pleasure to protect their child. Her father, detonated his workshop when they came for him, killing all who entered along with himself. He knew of the magic they had, the magic to read minds and didn't want Rorona to be hunted her whole life. He hadn't told Rorona's mother of his plan to swap her with a golem and have her taken away for safety in case they found her first. He made sure to stock enough items both flammable and explosive to ensure nothing would be left of his body and left all of his tools in that spirit elf's home long before that night.

Despite everything and the loss of two of their friends, they held no ill will to the infant and raised her like their own, but swore to themselves to tell Rorona when she was old enough to understand the truth about how they got her out and what happened to her mother.

Rorona's adoptive parents only could look at her with sheer confusion when she began to obsess over penguins even refusing to wear anything that didn't match the penguins at a very young age. They were relieved when she began to wear clothes of other colors than those found on penguins despite the majority sharing their colors. Sometimes they would get visitors ranging from people on their way to fish, merchants, all the way up to nobility. Rorona was always introduced as their child because to them, she was, but would say her looks come completely from Granny. Both a lie and the truth simultaneously. Granny was Rorona's mother's nickname because she's always acted more like an elderly woman even when they were children.

"I promise I won't get into trouble, I'll be fine." Rorona smiled as she turned to leave her hidden home through one of the many gates her mother set up. "With the homeward spell, I can always come back home. Besides that..." She turned her head as she stopped just before the marker on the floor. "I am your daughter after all, no one would mess with Carol the beast's precious baby, not even dad~" She dropped her stuff and ran to her adoptive mother giving her a hug, one a bit tighter than she meant as she felt hands striking her. "... sorry..." She reached in for another hug savoring it. "Don't let him eat my secret stash of candied melons. He does it every time I leave for a while." Not even giving her adoptive mother a chance to respond, she kissed her cheek then ran back to her stuff quickly dropping down to slide grabbing her stuff and going through the gate to her next adventure. She was unaware her adoptive father had just finished her candy stash alongside one of her mother's spirit beasts, the girls unaware that the two have been working together to eat her candy every single time.

Armed with just a "simple" hammer and the basic necessities, Rorona began her adventures beyond the frozen tundra she lived all her life. Almost immediately, she complained about the warmth and how there should've been a warning from her mother about it being warm before she set out.

Note:

  • Rorona is believed to be dead by her birth village.
  • She has a massive series of the same spell cast on her to hide her ears' true appearance.
  • Her simple hammer is only called simple by her, but those who've tried to use it argue otherwise.
  • Never truly grew out of the penguin thing.
  • usually introduces herself as Roro or Aqua Agari
