Oggul had no name in the beginning. Since his creation he was part of the collective under the elder brain. But a group of adventurers invaded his land and most of his people were killed off. He was away from the hive at this time and when the elder brain was killed his ties to his hive was severed. For the first time he had a thought that was his alone and without the influence of the hive. He knew he should go back, but there was a part of him that pulled him away, out into the wilds. The more he broke away and the farther he got, the less connected he felt to the collective. He would be on his own for the first time and would soon learn that people on the surface would would view him as a monster without a second thought.
After a few run ins with passer by he learned to be more cautious and kept to the shadows. His first meeting of people on the surface left him with a few cuts and bruises, but he learned of ways to steal energy from them and his power would not diminish. In time the more he ran into people his power would grow. Without having to share it with others of his kind he would need less to sustain himself and the more in indulged the more his power would grow, soon he was able to invade the minds of people feeding on them mentally as well as physically.
