Ethan was born with systemic hypoplasia and has always been a nerdy mouse. When he was around three, he needed glasses. He is even small for a normal mouse, often mistaken for a child. In fact, he stopped growing at six, always looking like a kid, which causes problems. Ethan works as a substitute teacher, but he looks about the same size or even smaller than the students, so even the school he applied to thinks he is a kid.
Often seen wearing a red shirt and blue shorts, Ethan also wears childish briefs since they are the only ones that fit without having to pay a lot of money for custom-made ones. He isn't physically strong either, so he would lose easily in fights, and because of his height, he wouldn't be able to pull a punch effectively.
Ethan often has a strand of bad luck, always forgetting his ID card or losing it. Parents often take him to the police, not believing he is an adult and refusing to accept his ID card. Because of this issue, he isn't able to get his driver's license, so he is stuck walking or biking. Due to his size, he is also stuck with childish-looking biking gear.
Ethan is quite smart, but he can be quite egotistical, causing jocks to pick on him. He has a little brother named Nathan who is annoyingly bigger and stronger, often calling Ethan the "little" brother when he isn't. Ethan also never kicked the habit of squeaking when he was a child and still squeaks often, even when he really shouldn't.
