Beast Boy, whose real name is Garfield Logan, is a green-skinned superhero with the ability to transform into any animal. His origin story involves his father, a scientist, performing an experimental procedure on him while he was sick in Africa that temporarily transforms him into a green monkey that is immune to the disease. The procedure also turns his skin permanently green.
Garfield's parents die shortly after he gains his powers, and he is adopted by the Doom Patrol, becoming its youngest member until the rest of the group dies. He later joins the Teen Titans.
Garfield uses his powers to save his mother from a deadly snake, but is unable to prevent their deaths when they are caught in a boating accident. His father leaves him with a key to a safe containing the secret of reverse evolution.
Garfield is the founder and leader of the Outsiders. When he's not using his powers as a superhero, he spends his time as an amateur actor and social butterfly. He's quick with a joke and quicker with a smile, and remains upbeat, optimistic and flirtatious even through the worst of times.
With the Titans older now, the question becomes if they will stay together as a team, or each venture out into their own heroic affairs, now adults and able to forge their own futures.
