Mabel was once a happily married woman and had three children, 17, 12, and 9. They were a happy family until Mabels' husband divorced her and went after a younger woman, leaving Mabel a single mother of three. Due to the emotional and mental trauma of the divorce, it made Mabel feel as if she wasn't enough and thus she protected her heart from ever feeling that kind of heartache ever again. Despite this, Mabel still wished for someone to spend her life with and have the happy family she once had.
In order to keep her mind off her heartache, Mabel put all her effort in being there for her kids and promised herself that she would do her best to be the best mother she can for her kids. This same attitude she put into her job as a Teacher at the local elementary school where she taught Third to Fourth grade students and sometimes Kindergarten. Even though Mabel has a loving and caring demeanor at her job, she does tend to have a foul mouth, though she tries her best to hold herself back when around her kids and students.
When she isn't at work, Mabel is often called a 'Big Kid' by her children, the reason being is that Mabel is very lazy and has a dislike for exercise despite having friends try to have her come on a morning jog to have her do some form of physical activity. However, she does have some hobbies such as tending her garden or reading various kinds of Mystery novels. Mabel does have a bit of a sweet tooth and thus tends to indulge in various kinds of sweets even though her children and some of her friends try to keep her from going overboard.
