What are Beastmen?
The scientific name of Beastman is Homo sapiens bestia. Beastman is the closest living ancestor to the human. They share a similar evolutionary lineage and their last common ancestor existed after the divergence of Australopithecus (~2 million years ago). However, their genetic data does not primarily use DNA, and instead uses beast deoxyribonucleic acid (BDA).
Beastmen, while their true form is that of an anthropomorphized variant of any animal species, have the ability to change into a human form, with no obvious beastman traits present. Thus, it is easy for one to dwell among humans without raising alarm should they not revert to their beastman form.
Michiru Kagemori is basically a tanuki Beastman, though she bore handful traits of blue jay (possibli judging from the color scheme of her hair and tail) and raccoon (marking around the eyes). Her chin-length bob-cut hair and tail are blue in color with black ends. She also has teal eyes, and black pointy cat-like ears on the top of her head. Her hand-paws, feet-paws, and a patch on her face are dark brown while the rest of her fur is light brown much like a real tanuki.
Nazuna Hiwatashi was a human girl with fair skin, red eyes, and long, orange hair with a red bang down her forehead. She wore a school uniform consisting of a knee-length navy skirt, white collared shirt with a light blue bow tie, white socks, and black loafers.
Following her accident, Nazuna transforms into a Kitsune Beastman. Her hair turns pink, she grows long pink fox-like ears that are the same colour as her hair, and her red bang becomes dark pink. Above her nose, her fur turns pink, and below it, it turns white.
Marie Itami in her human form, she has a brown skin tone, mauve dreadlocks, and green eyes. She sports a dark gray sweater, pale gray hooded overcoat, brown belt, and cerulean skinny jeans tapered at the end, and black high-heeled boots. For accessories, she dons a pair of green visor sunglasses over her forehead and gold hoop earrings.
In her mink form, she has a longer, broader neck, a square face with small outward-facing ears perched atop her head. She grows claws on her hands and a long, bushy tail in the back. Her clothes remain the same in both forms.
