The Seven Profane Demesnes

Forward

Not unlike the Divine Domains by the gods of this world, the Profane Demesnes are fonts of power, inspired by the seven deadly sins of humanity. When a monster meets certain prerequisites, they can claim a Demesne and assume position as a Demon Lord to that font. Doing so opens greater paths to power, as well as remarkable stat boosts to the individual. It's not unusual that claiming a Demesne often results in a monster evolving to higher, possibly legendary forms.

Lust

The first Profane Demesne of Lust. The prerequisites for this Demesne demand a high proficiency of Illusion magics and social skills. Demon Lords of this Demesne are masters of deception and social engineering. It also boasts abilities to make tactile illusions, temporarily dragging imagery into reality. It also grants abilities to conceal spell-casting, effectively eliminating need for incantations or gestures.

Gluttony

The Second Demesne. Claim of this Demesne demands a devotion to Necromancy and Transmutation magics. MP and HP can be quickly regenerated by the Demon Lord devouring other creatures. Additionally, he can sup a small fraction of power from his subordinates when they eat other creatures. Effectively, so long as the Lord of Gluttony has active subordinates, he can tap a near limitless amount of HP and MP.

Greed

Bought with skills in crafting, trade and abjuration magic, Lords of Greed can effectively create barriers for any amount of situations. They can sacrifice an amount of their personal wealth to cover the costs of their spell-casting, often making strong investments to reap greater returns.

Sloth

Masters of enchantment magics who excel at organizing others. This Demesne can often go overlooked, as it requires a number of leadership skills and high mental stats as a prerequisite for claiming. Additionally, it grants the Unburdened Telepathy and Broadcast Mind skills, granting additional advantages to directing others.

Wrath

While not known for their magical savvy, none can match the raw power of the Lord of Wrath. High physical stats and battle magic abilities bring the monster who claims the Wrath Demesne to fruition. They can overdrive the potency and effect of evocation spells by sacrificing greater amounts of MP and can additionally sacrifice their HP to fuel their casting. While prior skills in evocation aren't strictly necessary to claim this Demesne, it can offer a greater measure of versatility in the long-run.

Envy

The Demesne of Envy begets Demon Lords who have eyes in all places. Divination specialists with high mental skills, there's very few places they can't set their sights on, so long as they remain clever and prudent in their endeavors. Parallel Minds allows them to focus on separate tasks and organize information with greater efficiency. Always watching, always coveting, always scheming...

Pride

Lords of Pride are masters of conjuration, summoning servants from the aether to follow their demands. Unlike the prerequisites for Sloth, no leadership abilities are required, only magical and martial potency. To shoot for this Demesne means to diligently raise all stats towards maximum, perfecting one's fundamental strength while sacrificing specializations. Rulers of Pride gain a specialty cheat skill called World Travel. Teleportation magic costs zero mp to cast, or immediate travel can be achieved at half the original MP cost. Lords of Pride can essentially make an appearance anywhere they please and answer to virtually nobody.

    • What if I got all seven :O

      • Unclear. I guess you'd be an undisputed bad-ass who could do whatever the hell he felt like.

Though mind, the Ruler titles are unique and can't be given to more than one individual at once, though apparently one person can hold multiple titles.

        • In Erebus lore, he does possess all 7 but doesnt really have a title. There is a reason why though.
