Which of the two options should this site lean towards?

1) Now that I have a effective way of blocking at a state level, should we scrap the idea of paid R and X content filters and just block states with these laws in effect or fully signed and planned to go into effect. This would allow for freely posting NSFW content so long as they are marked correctly and people are able to toggle what they wish to see, rather having to pay to see it.

2) Or should we continue on the path of charging a fee to unlock erotic content and not block on a state level?

    • I wish to just verify:

Option 1) Block states with bad laws

Option 2) Charge people to allow Rated R - XXX content

      Is that right?

      • This is correct, Option 2 is basically sticking to what we were on path on, with the transaction being the fulfillment for the verification required, because it was either that or have you upload your ID to us privately.

      • So a lot like before when more NSFW-centeric content had to be properly marked? Seems quite manageable. But whatever happens, happens. It seems almost neck and neck right now for each option.

        • Yep pretty much, it'll be like when the site first launched. Those that are blocked due to the state law, would need to figure another way in, such as a VPN.

          • Hopefully that all gets undone at some point. Right now I think people can only do their best to speak up against such laws. Or, maybe just hope for the best if nothing else.

            • With more states jumping on board, and even one enacting the law without the govs signature, I dunno the future of these laws getting undone just isn't coming into view, but I do hope I'm wrong.

            • Well, it seems like what was a close tie seems to now have a clear community decision. It appears I have some minor adjustments I need to do.
