"Oh, Kamado. Indeed, it has been some time. I suppose you're getting better at avoiding grievous injury." If the tease in her remark wasn't obvious, the shift in her smile would make it almost impossible to miss. "A Hashira finds themselves many places. I'm more curious why you're here." The darkening of her eyes, the ever so subtle drop in her tone as she wound through the last sentence were haunting specter of threat.
Shinobu's shift in demeanor was a sudden, slight, and natural as flowers on a stream. "You continue to be full of surprises, Kamado." The Hashira was almost beaming, her smile sincere (or at least as sincere as it ever was.) "Tell me of this demon. I imagine if you've been track int for some time this is no ordinary prey." Her off hand tugged on her sheathed katana. Her thumb traced the edge where hilt met scabbard. She teased at the quiet mechanations that let her mix poisons to coat her blade.
"Well.. This demon is unlike any I've faced before." Tanjiro took a deep breath and began to recount his journey so far. "It's been terrorizing this village for weeks now, taking the lives of innocent people. It's incredibly fast and agile, with razor-sharp claws that can cut through almost anything." He paused for a moment before continuing- "But what makes it truly dangerous is its ability to control fire. Its flames are hot enough to incinerate even steel! It's been leaving nothing but destruction in its wake and it seems to be getting stronger with each passing day, which makes me worry that it might have a connection to Muzan..." Tanjiro couldn't help but feel anger rising within him, recounting his experience.
"All demons have a connection to Muzan, little Kamado." Shinobu offered a wide smile that softened the correction. Eyes batted as the smile slid from her face. "Though fire demons are quite worrying." She sighed heavily, a small hand moving to rest against her sheath where steel met leather. "A pity Tomioka is too busy pouting to be of use for once. No worry though, we should be more than enough for one lowly demon."
