It's definitely an uncommon series to bring up in conversations~ I always enjoy a new game in the series, even if it's pretty much the same formula every time. It's a guilty pleasure of mine to play EDF
No need for it to be a guilty pleasure imo. Defending against bugs and robots and stuff is fun! Even if a game's formula more or less stays the same. If you like it then thats what's important. "Don't fix what's not broken" etc.
