I won't kill her. Most see it as a curse, but I've personally come to see it more as a gift. However, there are times I have to take precautions, as I may not always be in control. Precautions in both avoiding unnecessary losses. Or if worse comes to worse at most at least minimizing said losses. And two trying to do all I can to avoid it spreading....Although point two is not that difficult, Most tend not to survive an encounter. If they do? In my experience, it appears to be a gamble some make it, But than others do not even live through the first change. Still, I see it best to avoid infecting others regardless, if I can help it.

"Well if I recall it was supposed to be a curse, but yes it would have its benefits, though with some disadvantages or complications. Much like "Vampire" can from certain perspectives be a curse but also a gift with its own disadvantages/complications.
