In a prosperous kingdom protected by towering walls and surrounded by forests and meadows, the Highton family though not royalty, were incredibly close to it. They were the wealthiest family in the kingdom other than the royal family themselves, and Rosalie is the beloved only daughter of the Highton family. Though there are many who have not seen her in person, the rumors of her unparalleled beauty are well known throughout the kingdom. She is the result of breeding between one of the very few species of beings that get along well with the humans of the kingdom. Her mother a high elf, and her father a human man, Rosalie is viewed as the perfect example of two races setting aside their differences and not only coexisting, but falling in love. Though she grew up spoiled, and can be a bit of a brat to those close to her, she is very well known for being a kind hearted girl who wants nothing but the best for her family and the people of the kingdom.
However, despite the love of her family, the tight rules of high society, and the strictness of her father--who refused to allow her to leave the opulent city walls of the capital-- has made Rosalie feel suffocated. She has never left the capital let alone the kingdom, yet her brothers are allowed to travel the vast world on wild adventures. The vivid stories that they shared with her of their experiences only made Rosalie feel more suffocated. And so on one dark night, when her family was deep in slumber she escaped the walls of the city determined to experience a grand adventure just like her brothers. No matter the danger that may come her way, she has to see the world.
