Orion Styles is one of the best of best in the Systems Alliance, the N7 Special Forces. However, not much is known about his origins. What is known is that he was found as a baby by Admiral Thomas Styles, a decorated Alliance Navy officer. His wife Patrica Styles, an ex-Alliance commando, adored the child and wanted to adopt him. Offically adopting the baby and naming him Orion, his childhood was actually pretty decent. However, when reaching his pre-teens, his biotic abilities started to manifest. Pulling some strings, Thomas was able to get Orion enlisted into Grissom Academy, enrolling him into the Ascendsion Project so he can learn more about his biotic abilities and how to use them. While going through some years in the academy, Orion started to develop an interest in video games and started to play them more. Luckily, that didn't hinder his studies as he knew his parents will get on him for not studying. He graduated with flying colors and even enlisted into the Systems Alliance.

Years of service and he proved himself on one mission, giving him the iconic N7 status. With new training in the form of the Slayer program and a new bio amp implant as well as new gear, Orion Styles was able to rise to the ranks, earning himself the rank of Major. However, one mission would allow him to learn a bit about his origins. At an offworld Cerberus base, Orion learned that he is possibly the only surviving subject of horrific gene and biotic experiements to create the Ultimate Biotic Super Soldier, a precursor that what would be later called Project Phoenix. Who freed him and attempted to flee with him as a baby would remain as a mystery. Despite this, Orion continues his life in the military and even indulging himself in many interests, such as video games, vintage item collecting, xenocultrure studies, and flying fighters...which got him a pilot license.

During the Reaper Wars (Mass Effect 3), Orion was put in charge of his own squad for the N7 Special Ops task force (Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer). This consisted of himself as the squad leader, a Krogan Warlord by the name of Urdnot Thrax, a Turian Ghost Infiltrator by the name of Malik Arilius, and a Geth Juggernaut given the name of Rigel. They were known as The Alpha Team, or The A Team for short. While they parted ways after the Reaper War, they remain in contact with one another. Nowadays until deployed to a new mission, Orion would sometimes partake in game tournaments under the handle of Gamer Genius O, often representing the Systems Alliance in some of them. If found on the Citadel, Orion would often be seen in the Silversun Strip, at either the arcade or the Aramax Arsenal Arena Combat Simulator.

Simply put, despite being a deadly biotic soldier and biotic CQC specialist, Orion is a gamer nerd and sometimes will not shut up about his favorite video games and some upcoming games that caught his eye. This also includes VR games and even VRMMORPGs.
