Though never tortured or given more than a slap to the face when incurring father's wrath, Lucinda is seen as simply one spare too many, being 7th in line to inherit the title. Her father has been seeking ways to sell her off, as a bride, a maid, or even as a basic laborer, purely to get her out of the way of the messiness that happens when matters of succession come up. Often thought to be a lazy girl, Lucinda actually loves garening and is quite skilled at it, and has taken over the family's disused greenhouse, though nobody has really noticed her spending time out there.

They are known for their quarries, and stone masonry and their name comes from the earliest members who were known for making uniquely shaped gravestones that came to be favored by the royal family.
