Katherine was born wealthy, spoiled from a young age by her parents yet not necessarily snobbish or at least, she wasn’t until the attack, a vampire broke into her room and drained her of her blood, the next thing she saw when she regained consciousness was darkness, she felt the polished wood of a rather expensive coffin, she climbed out of her own grave on a storming night. She spent the rest of her childhood growing up as a vampire changed by her new life and the cravings and desires that came with it, she became cruel and bloodthirsty both literally and figuratively the vampire that turned her didn’t survive when he was caught and so he never drank enough to kill her, but Katherine does to all her victims, leaving dry husks where she goes. Since she’s grown up she’s built her own thrall army and became a countess of a county of a kingdom by hypnotizing and seducing the necessary authorities, she even had the king under her thumb and she took over her family’s assets.
Stories can take place either during the dark ages where she’s more public or in the modern age where her enthralled land is secluded practically still living in the dark ages as it’s hidden and sheltered from the rest of the world.
