Three years had passed since Erebus had his prophecy revealed by his two friends. Although he was unaware of it, he always had a feeling that he would turn out into something like this. Nothing but a monster that seeks to destroy. Did he want to forgive the humans? No, absolutely not! Since the sorcerer was twenty years of age now, that meant that he could do exactly whatever he wanted and neither Saros or Morgana for that matter could stop him from that. He did not need a prophecy to confirm the fact that he wanted the human race completely eradicated. That was something he wanted ever since his parents and people were killed.
Somewhere else deep in the forest two other sorcerers were looking for Erebus. Of course the younger sorcerer just had to disappear all of a sudden. “Brother…when will we get there?” A feminine voice echoed in the forest. A certain female sorceress seemed not too keen on continuing her travel and would much rather take a break. However at this rate it was not worth it. Besides, they were getting really close towards the village, the very village Erebus’ was rumored to be.
“You know Morgana, if that stupid kid did not run away all the damn time. We would just live our normal lives and not risk them all the damn time!”
“Saros shut up! You do not even need to look after him. He is all grown up now. We are not his responsibility.” Those words made the male sorcerer tilt his head to the side. His facial expression turned more serious than before as he raised an eyebrow. “Are you out of your mind, didn’t you hear of his prophecy? He is the reason I am running after him, if it were not for that I would not care less. Why did we even save him that night?”
These final words from the male earned him a hard smack on the face from his sister. “How dare you say that? He is the only one left…like us! He did not hurt us, humans did. Do not forget that!” The male grunted in pain as he rubbed his cheek from the slap he had just received from his sister. “Yeah, and I bet you two fucked as well…” The male grumbled in a rather low tone yet loud enough for the female to hear due to her good sense of hearing. “WHAT WAS THAT?”
“Nothing, nothing…let's just go.” Oh it was definitely going to be a long day that was for sure. A sister that was nothing but a pain in the ass and who knew what trouble the two would encounter upon arriving at the village, that is if there was any village left? It did not help that his sister was blindly in love towards a man that had no such emotions. He feared that Erebus used her as he wished either for satisfaction and lust or just to manipulate her. A soft smile formed across the males’ lips as he noticed the gate at the end of the distance. “There it must be, let's hurry Morgana I am sure Erebus is there!” Quickening up their paces the two would sooner rather than later approach and hopefully reunite with Erebus again.
Though as they finally arrived by the village, Saros' eyes widened upon the sight. Houses, stores, statues…no literally all buildings were in ruins covered with fire and along with it were corpses surrounding it, a lot of corpses at that. Just the sight itself made the male sorcerer make him want to puke and although he knew about the prophecy, never in his mind did he think Erebus would commit such an atrocious act, at least not at such an early age. Heck, even magic to create such a mess was extremely rare from someone at the age of twenty.
“B-brother…what has happened here?” The female sorceress moved in closer to her brother in fear as her facial expression showed nothing but her horrified by the sight.
“Erebus happened, come on we have to find him!”
“N-no there is no way, he promised me! As long as we traveled together!” So that was the reason he left? Did he not wish to show Morgana who he truly was, nothing but a monster that seeked for an unending revenge or was there something else behind it? There was only one way to find out. “Keep close to me sister, we do not want to lose sight of each other after all.”
After a long time of walking past all corpses, the two finally caught sight of who had committed this. Indeed it was Erebus. His eyes had just returned to its crimson red from using up all the magic to commit this. A groan escaped the males’ lips as he slumped down onto the ground in exhaustion. Holding his hands up to have a look at his bruised hands. “I guess I really need to learn how to control it properly. Well…task is completed.” The male muttered to himself, completely unaware that the very two people who took care of him were now right behind him. Erebus closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. The screams had finally stopped, how good. It reminded him too much of his past. Damn, he still kept dreaming about it.
“Have had your fun now, idiot?”
Erebus eyes shot open the moment he heard the too familiar voice coming from behind him. Getting up on his feet weakly. Erebus dusted off all the dirt off his clothes before turning around to face him. However he was just as surprised when he found out that Morgana was right behind him almost as if she was hiding. Did he really need to bring her here as well? The last thing he wanted to see was her face.
“Fun? I am just returning the favor. It is far from done. It is only finished when three humans are alive!”
Saros almost facepalmed at that, was Erebus out of his mind? This would not solve anything and Erebus knew that. It was obvious that Erebus had another plan in his mind. His sister might be dense, but he knew it. Despite that, he would act oblivious to find out. “You just killed hundreds of innocents and you plan to pretty much eradicate everyone? Don’t you feel any sympathy at all!”
A chuckle escaped Erebus’ lips upon hearing the males’ words. “This is farewell, Saros…Morgana.”
“N-no..."
“My plans are far beyond that. I am eradicating this messed up world, that is my plan. I will create something far better, something far more superior. Where every race lives in peace and harmony…no poverty at all. I will create the perfect world. Farewell, for good.” The apologetic expression was more shown towards the female than Saros. After all, she was the only one that truly cared about him.
“That is impossible! It will take far longer than a lifetime to achieve such!”
However by the time Saros yelled those words, Erebus had mustered up all energy needed to teleport away from the scene leaving the two alone in nothing but an echo that seemed to come from Erebus.
´Don’t you think I know that already?´~
