So, You want to plot a roleplay?
So, You want to plot a roleplay?
Just a lightning round FAQ-esque to (cooperatively) plotting with me
------
"Do you have any ideas ?"
I rarely come with fully formed ideas, it's better for the kind of cooperative plotting I like to do if both or all parties come to the table to theorycraft and put our own loose ideas together or throw some together, together . I also don't require you have any ideas BUT you happen to have some, that's completely fine
((If you're among those who aren't interested in doing that, it's at this point that you'll usually either stop replying or wait for me to begrudgingly plot the whole thing though))
"What kind of roleplays do you like to do ?"
Do you mean Genres? Settings? Narrative Theming/Dynamics/Scenarios? or Erotic elements and theming?
Genres: I like to typically blend and meld two or more genres within a story. The genres we use will depend on the plot, but the plot itself will also depend on the genres and it creates a "Chicken or Egg" situation.
Settings: All roleplays take place in the Rick's own verse, the DragonSoul universe. Chronologically, the portion of the DragonSoul universe I like to write is typically analogous to the equivalent of a modern-day or very near future. With a good plot or a really good plot mechanic or contrivance I'd be willing to do some sort of time travel. Interdimensional """"isekai"""" funsies are ON the table (getting "isekai'd" is a running gag for this character).
Narrative Theming/Dynamics/Scenarios: I have a lot of different tropes, narrative themes and scenarios I like to do. However I much more prefer hearing about what's interesting to the other party(ies) involved. Writing with me becomes less about what I want and more about what you want and/or what works best for the story after a certain point.
Themes, Dynamics & Scenarios I like
- Human Tornado
- Rule of Cool
- The plot is a gag
- Completely infallible
- Rivals to lovers
- Odd Couple: Completely infallible oddball vs. out of their depth straightman
- Odd Couple: Complete Crackhead vs. Straightman
- Even Couple: Two Crackheads
- Completely useless partner/subordinate/sidekick/straightman
- Rick and his feral pet

Erotic elements and theming?
This is a wholly separate, but very similar thing hence why this is it's own section.
Basically this is the f-list section. I don't believe a erotic focused/friendly roleplay should function purely to cater to all of someone's specific kinks, hell I don't think it should include or cater to anyone kinks at all unless it makes sense for the stories you want to tell. For a story-focused roleplay I care more about a compelling and/or entertaining story to the point that outside of a few "baked-in" things; I'm not focused on H-scenes or ships (despite my focus on them in the rules)
Here's a few erotic "themes" I'm interested in in no particular order or level of preference (my interests aren't limited to this, you should just ask for my f-list. When doing so please make sure you send yours first or have it somewhere on your account)
- Femininity
- Paper Tigers
- Groups (mostly 3P)
- Harem
- Polycule
- Slave/Retainer or D/s dynamic
- Pheromones
- Contracts/Bonded
- Risky/Semi-Public/Public (location)
- Risky (protection)
- Instant loss/defeat
- Tomboys (especially those who're considered "too masculine" or have been dubbed as queer-coded when there's little or no queer-coding in their actual character)
- Getting "Caught" and continuing anyway
- Intentional loss/defeat
- Romance
- Hook-ups
- CNC
- Obsessed partners

"What are we writing about ?"
This is the part where we actually plot out the story

"Who Starts ?"
The age 'ol question. I personally like the politely ask if the other party would like to start or should I, however in reality; whoever should start should be dependent on things like:
"Who has the time and energy to start?"
"Who has a stronger understanding of the plot or base premise?"
"Whose character and/or ideas is more important to the base plot or premise?"
"Who wants to start?"
Ideally we should figure out who starts based on these questions but I'm always down to flip a coin, roll some dice or something. Generally: If it makes more sense for you to start and you have the energy to do so; you should be starting and vice-versa but if you don't want to we can figure something out or use some RNG or game of chance to determine. I also have a few copypasta starters I could rewrite and use
DISCLAIMER: THIS POLICY SUPERCEDES ANY "YOU ADD, YOU START" RULES YOU MAY HAVE. IF THIS IS AN ISSUE: DO NOT ADD OR REMOVE & BLOCK IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ADDED.
I hope this helps streamline the process from chatting to theory crafting to roleplaying for everyone who wants to plot with me
