| 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐡'𝐯𝐚𝐧, a young man hailing from a sleepy merchant town with daring dreams and aspirations in spite of his sheltered upbringing. As the youngest Son, he had watched wistfully from the side-lines as his elder Brother fought his way through the long and forgotten roads to claim his own fame and glory as a renowned slayer of Monsters and Beasts of every sort. Witnessing first-hand the difference in treatment between himself and his Brother, Cas was determined to follow in the elder's footsteps and become a man in the eyes of his people.

Despite having reached twenty-three years of age, Cas is still revered as little more than a youth by Elven society. When he'd announced that he was going to take off on his own before he experienced the Drawing of the Veil, an Elven coming of age milestone... The immediate response wasn't as warm as the would-be Monster Hunter had hoped. Despite the lack of support from his friends and family, Cas' stubbornness and impatience got the better of him, ultimately leading him to abandon his birthplace and set out on his own- Way over his head, way out of his depths.

Fate was a funny thing. Had Cas stayed home and bent to the expectations of those around him, would it have made a difference?

Or was he ultimately always destined to become the one thing he'd set out to conquer.

Not new to this character, but new to this site! I'm looking forward to jumping back into writing after a brief hiatus.
