"They've gone unnoticed for far, far too long. It's time for humanity to kneel at their feet once more."

Name: Amalia Hanover

Age: 25

Occupation: Can vary per roleplay

Hobbies: Reading, proselytizing, worshipping

Likes: History, spending time with her 'children', trying new things, animals

Dislikes: Faithlessness, cowards, solipsists, computers

Behind an unassuming face, a sweet, sometimes mischievous, smile, and the appearance of an earnest belief in improving the world lay a woman with a twisted heart. Though she can be warm and motherly, looking after her 'children' in settings where she has followers, she has no qualms about the suffering of nonbelievers where it benefits those of faith. All as she has the time of her life, embracing a far greater purpose than herself. Whether it's just doing her own personal research, or acting as the grand messenger of a cult, Amalia can be found just about anywhere doing all sorts of things. From research into ancient cultures, to finding new recruits, 'valuable offerings' or just a good time late at night.

In her drive to follow the 'will of the divine', she embraces many calls one might consider 'sinful'. To feed her desires. To be a torrent that refuses to veer from a chosen path. To embrace anger, or inspire hopelessness. To control the world and take the result she wants. To seize spiritual and material wealth without regard for consequences. Though she may be capable of creating a balance between the five gods who each touch her soul... that's a bore! Better to feel every extreme and embrace the full glory of the divine than to arrogantly attempt to restrain them.

Amalia: Unshackled

Amalia also comes in an irreligious flavour. This version is better suited for crossovers, especially those where there are already magical systems or gods providing blessings at play (I.e. Genshin's elements, Star Rail's aeons, Wuthering Waves' fortes). As a compromise for having no gods to guide her, she is debatably more unhinged. Her morals devolve roughly to 'might makes right' as she pursues whatever source of power suits her. Typically she will retain her crow and fire themed primary focus and her sometimes insatiable desires, tinged with a more distinctly 'slasher' personality. She lives for the show, where the audience knows there can be no happy ending.

The Gods, their Curses and their Blessings

The Sun-Mother

Element: Fire

Animal: Crow

Displays of worship: Giving into desires and 'hot' emotions - both warmth and hatred, burning effigies, creating familial bonds

Curse: Dissatisfaction - Amalia's needs for food and water are limitless. Though not truly starving, she always feels like she needs to eat and drink. While as a side-effect excessive consumption will merely be 'burned away' to avoid things like vomiting or water toxicity, effects of poisons such as alcohol will still linger in her body. There can be an effect on her sexual desire if... desired. This curse can be imposed upon others. In darker settings, this curse can take more twisted forms. Driving people into a cannibalistic frenzy, bringing out darker desires. Dissolving human will into a sea of jealousy, greed and hate.

Blessing: The Children's Warmth - Manifesting the deep gold plumage and wings of the Sun-Mother's children, Amalia is granted command over holy flames.

The Collector

Element: Earth

Animal: Man

Displays of worship: Offerings of valuables, meditation, craftsmanship of materials derived from the ground

Curse: Oathsworn - Amalia is incapable of telling a lie. Though she can evade questions, give half-truths, and otherwise lie by omission, she must speak only that which she views to be correct and obey the letter of her word. This can be imposed upon others, with the caveat that they simply must say what they believe to be true, are capable of changing their mind, and the compulsion of action only works within range of Amalia that she can keep the curse active on them.

Blessing: Bounty of the Earth - A two-pronged spear that grants mastery of earth. The weapon itself is made of the earth beneath Amalia's feet, and its size can be adjusted while in contact with any acceptable material. This includes material such as concrete and lay, but not metals. Amalia's body must be in contact with the earth to use it, even indirectly through the spear, and movements will greatly speed up her ability to control earth.

The Hunter (Also the God of Play)

Element: Metal

Animal: Feline

Displays of worship: Competition (especially fighting), Hunting, War (To a lesser extent)

Curse: Hunting Games - Those that Amalia has the will to harm will be granted a feeling of unease towards her, and a 'sixth sense' in the case she makes to attack them to sense the incoming danger. In return she feels the same from others.

Blessing:

The Scholar

Element: Water

Animal: Serpent

Displays of worship: Seeking knowledge, commemoration of the dead

Curse:

Blessing:

The Weaver

Element: Wood

Animal: Spider

Displays of worship: Craftsmanship of materials derived from plants (Woodwork, weaving), the raising and protection of life, exploration

Curse:

Blessing: Weaver's Arms - From Amalia's back erupts spider-like limbs of wood, able to alter shape at will to form more fine tools of manipulation. She is also able to attach 'silk' of exceptional strength to anything she touches, and launch projectiles attached to her by this silk. Finally, she can encourage the blooming of plant life, including at rapidly accelerated rates.

Notes

I will be doing my best to figure out the nature of each god for the future, and the forms Amalia will take as a result of their influences. This is an idea that's been bouncing in my head for a while and I figured I should just kick it off now.

I can play Amalia as packing extra (24/7 or when she wills it), or outright as a feminine guy if anyone so desires.

I desire an offering... of devilled sausages.

OOC: Being able to fill up on rice is Asia's greatest gift to the world. Followed closely by gunpowder.

Current Mood:
Love

Don't shoot her

"Why don't you come a little closer? I don't bite... so be a good little lamb for me."

OOC: Kinda tempted to use Mari from Eva as a playby. She does loosely fit the mental image of Amalia. And nails the confidence.

Welcome godless heathens! It's me, your personal matchmaker with the divine, Amalia. Amalie if you want. Even Mal. Please, do not worship me, though if you insist I can accept your gratitude on the side. I do always adore the satisfied smiles of new convertees. But not quite so as I love the joy of my fellow followers.

If you need persuasion on the itinerary for the next few weeks is... painting the town red, setting the house on fire, jaywalking, and if that doesn't sell you, if you find the right divinity recreational drug use may qualify as worship. Just don't come crying to me if you OD on too much fun~
