Byakko Tachibana is a mi'qote born in Kugane, Higanshi. Growing up, he always wanted to explore new lands, discover new things. When he became of age, he left for Eorzea, unaware that this was the beginning of his destiny. While riding a chocobo wagon to Ul'dah, he has a strange dream about a meteor shower and seeing the Mothercrystal, granting him the Echo as well as slowly granting him the Blessing of Light, becoming the Warrior of Light. Through this, he has undergone a series of adventures that tested his skills, his resolve, and his temperament, fully awakening the blessing granted to him.
He helped drive back an invading empire and witnessed A Realm Reborn. He looked Heavensward and ended a war that spans for thousands of years. He marched through the Stormblood and helped two nations reclaim their freedom, and revisited his homeland in the process. He traveled across the rift, into the First, becoming the Warrior of Darkness...the Shadowbringer, and in the process learned of an impending doom. He would save his star, the Source, by going to the very edge of existence, becoming the Endwalker. Now he walks the Dawntrail...
Personality wise, he's cheeky, sassy, and friendly. But in the battlefield, he can be described as a raging beast with an impressive tactical mind who earned the title "God of War".
Some people beleve that the Blessing of Light and the Echo are almost one and the same. They are not. The Echo grants various abilities, such as being able to see memories of important events in the past and understand any language spoken to him, even if he doesn't speak it. The Blessing of Light is different. Through trails and tribulations, through the deeds he has done, the Blessing of Light grants him immunity from atherical corruption, such as primal tempering, and at one time even allow the Mothercrystal Hydaelyn herself to intervene when needed. He also bears an orange crystal, known simply as Azem's Crystal. Using it, he can summon champions and heroes from beyond the rift, but he only uses it when he has no other option. As of now, he also possess an artifact known simply as 'The Key', an chalace shaped object made from a material called electrope with a unique white crystal in the middle. This is theorized to be white auracite. The Key is said to have to power to open possible tears through space and time.
